Ankur Rocks!

Well , i am sorry for not being blogging since 3-4 months coz of the placements and the  mba preparation.  It  happened on 4th sept at 11:30 when i got placed in a good comapny CSC(Computer Science Innovations). It was a great moment as all of us 17 shortlisted after written were placed .

On 4th sept, there was one more company on mobile which came into our campus , we were surprised by the arrival of csc one day before its recruitment date. The exam consisted of tough aptitude and easy technical. We finished our written at around 5 . At around 7:30 the results were announced and i was also sho9rtlisted. Then suddenly ran to the hostels and brought resume and wore the formals and came back to innovation centre(IC).

The interview started after 15 mins and my turn came at around  9pm. It was a wonderful interview and i was pretty confident , also coz i had given army interviews 2 days back. First question was

Q:: “Tell me about urself”

A: I answered  ” Sir, I m Ankur..”

suddenly interviewer interrupted me and said that being professional i shuld nt designate as ‘Sir’.

Well then began answering about myself,my family and my interests. I spoke quite loudly and confidently. He was really impressed and askd bout my project, I told him briefly. I dint have much knowledge bout subjects but still answered wtever i knew quite loudly and confidently. He interviewed me for arnd 25 mins and when i was leaving he shook hands and said to see me in csc  soon.

When i left the room i knew that i would be selected and went immediately for HR interview after  technical interview. She was a 23-25 old gal and asked me about my strengths and weakness and also whether i m ready to get posting in hyd or chennai. I said yes and left the room.

At 11:30 the results were announced and we were so glad to know that all 17 of us were selected.

Then i called my parents, sis and bro immediately after the results were announced. Whole IC was producing echo and all of us were shouting. Phone calls started coming from lots of ppl.After that we went to one of frnz flat and had  a drink till 5 that morning.

It was a awesome experience , but was also sad a bit as few of my frnz were  still left unplaced , but hopefully they will get placed in future soon.  Best of luck for them and also for me as i have set my target to crack CAT..

Well frnz , last week was really tough for me as i got rejected in all companies rite from accenture,wipro and infy. Its been realy unbelievable for me as i cleared written examinations of all the companies but couldnt clear gd and interviews . I was shocked when my name ws nt announced in the selected list. i went to the temple straight after the results and remained thr for a while and late nite had taken lot of drink.

It was such a frustrating nite i couldnt forgot . Ya dats true, that I was nt prepared for the interviews and also i was intervewed very badly but atleast i deserved to b atleast get selected in 1 company. Almost all of my frnz got placed. Well dat placement season continued ffrom 2nd to 4th jun. I was so depressed dat on 6th mrng itself i returned to home.

I was disheartned but hope to do well and get placed in good company. I m determined to study hard and get placed asap.

Well frnz , dis is the high time for us as tcs the first company entered in our campus for  palcing us  on 2nd may. we wattended ppt and gave online exam. Late nite we heard that almost all of us have been qualified for the interview level which would b goin to held on 3rd may.

3rd may-  As i had technical interview today ,i dint study much. I wake up at 7:00, shaved , prepared the cv,and wore formals .. well i went to colege anf found my frnd who arranged  a tie fr me. i dint have photos  so, we went to adlabs photo studio and got  my snaps in half an hour.. well i was in hurry and on returning i almost was hit by a car, bt god saved me. well , then i went to library auditorium with my tie and suddenly i realised that i had to wear forma shoes .. i called my frnd and went back to hostel and wore his shoes..

then i came  bak and i saw that i had a hole in my shirt. Oh god, wt  i could have done.. i dint do anything and started preparing fr yhe interview.

i prepared my file and went to  give interview. i entered in the rooom and saw 2 persons were sitting there. i said Good afternoon to them and  they askd me hw i ws. i told them fine then he took my form and wt the hell am i?? in front of my father’s age, i mentioned my age , well i got nervous and my id and resume fallen down.. my impression was all destroyed. then they asked me bout OS,  they askd me to draw a comp,then they askd whr is the operating in dat figure? They askd ne about dbms,rdbms,ld. i  ws nervous and answered all ques wid lots of hesitation.. Well then they told to leave..

As soon as i left the room i came to knew i wnt b selected, well i did sumthing bullshit which i will definitely improve. we waited for 6 hrs bt he dint call me fr the 2nd round.. well next day on 4th may i again went in formals, bt lukin more smarter than on 3rd may.. we heard the results and 322 ppl were selected  and as expected my name was nt called .. well i wnt blame anybody bt i myself was responsible fr nt getting into Tcs , as nw i can say that i was not deserving to b in TCS..  Bt u have learnt a lot and will definitely well for accenture or infy.

WELL  frnz , i m late wriring dis post , bt  v won the shanthala tournament again for the third time in a row on 26th april . well we restricted opposition to 103/10 in 14.3 overs. and chased successfully in 19th over wid 2 wickets to spare..

well frnz initially i was not able to decide 11 players who would b playing as most of them refused , then we imported 4 players frm the team who won semi finals and luckily they proved to very crucial .. Well as we were chasing 104 it was very comfortable until i fell down again scoring 2 runs for third time in finals . well it was a very good shot bt i dint see a fielder being placed there just before he bowled. it was unlucky for me.  We were cruising to  the victory as suddenly we lost 3-4 wickets as v did in whole tournament bt finally we reached target safely..

Afterwards v danced and   clubbed together, it was a great moment. At the nite we had a party and dats where v r THE CHAMPS OF SHANTHALA….  well may b its the last tournament and may b we wnt be playing again in shanthala bt the memories of shanthala will remain forever as it is place whr i learnt hw to organise 600 ppl , hw to handle pressure,hw to lead a side , hw to make frnz, hw to keep urself calm. I learnt patience,i learnt determination, hardwork,hw to stand for 12 yrs without eating anything under sun and hw to remain victorious..

Frnz , again one more lab ssnl crossed today, and same old story . as again no output.. But today it was sumthing different from other lab ssnls as i studied my heart out for it and i knew hw to do the problem, bt  due to no practise at all i couldnt get the output.

Anywayz i was happy dat i learned sumthing frm today’s experience dat if u study then u r not behind other ppl.Well frnz may b i will get poor grade but nice experience as i dint expect dat i would b able to do anything bt atleast i did sumthing to boost my confidence, which is much needed for the forthcoming placements season frm next week onwards.

Well i m concentrating on Tom’s shanthala finals , we r underdogs and till nw i dnt knw who will b the 11 players goin to play tom . Bt i m damn confident that we will repeat the history and hopefully will win the tournament third time in a row.

Frnz dis  yr again v r in finals of shanthala cricket tournament.. today v won semis which shud have been very easy bt v made it very tough against PKKT as v did in rest of the matches. We were against final yrs who r a bit new to shanthala cricket and were facing tough challenge against us. Well i lost the toss and it took half an hour for the match to get started bcoz my team ws nt complete. we played wid 9 players and subsituted 2 fielders for our players who would have cum after 1 hr.

We bowled first. Initially they started poorly . They lost 4 wickets for just 30 runs bt then suddenly they reached to 76/4 in 7 overs and the match turned. Then I took bowl in my hands. and destryy the batting line up by pickin 4 wickets in 3 overs and they got all out scoring just 99 in 13 overs. Well today when i ws bowling i had 3 slips and gully for 1 over same as what the Aussies dows. They  certainly came under pressure coz of that field setup and it turned out to b great decision..

We started our batting chasing a meagre 100 runs bt we loose  3 quick wickets for just 15 runs and then our CR and opener ravi put on a decent parternship of 46 runs and then suddenly ravi got out scoring 25 runs and after that jayant bowled out on a ball that kept low and then i entered into the field.I played 1 ball and played second which was loosener. i was disappointed as i had to hit  6 on dat . Next ball i got out edging behind to keeper. I scored 0  and got  tense . Bt we reached target safely having 2 wickets to spare. Thanx to a good innings of around 40 by C.r. so we entered into finals which most probably will b played on sunday morning..

well the match was over . Everybody appreciated our team and there was a controversy that who shud have been declared the man of the match.  Anywayz our team won,that mattered us most. Well do turn out on Sunday to watch a exciting shanthala cricket tournament final between my team and the team who will win tomorow.

SO , SSNLS R FINISHED  and I m on the way to build myself fr the placements.. bt when i will start dats the big ques??

As all around there are discussions concerning placements , about TCS,wipro.,INfy. pre placements talks are goin on but i m still wandering about my fav shanthala cricket that hw shud i finish it off.. As more and more teams are entering into it and sum of them are re-registering , its becuming tough to refuse those teams and moreover inter yr football il b starting tom in shanthala so its becuming a very tough to manage dis tournament.. Ppl have wrong illusion in their minds that i m goin fr money bt it is nt true, i m unable to refuse anybody..So lets see when dis tournament gets finished ..(hopefully we will it again as we r in Semis).

AND again about the placements, its been very confusing wt to study ,when to study, and wt to fill in dream company, hw to improve technical and whether shud i go for higher studies? all around sum of my frnz are selected in microsoft,google,sum r doin internships in europe,uk ,. sum have been placed…  Its a critical bt still doin masti… lets c wts goin to b happened

And again one more problem about the Industrial trainig , wt shud v do??Where and how to apply?

sumtimes also strikes bout internships in summers..well  iTS a hectic and most valuble time for our carrer..

Oh god, again ssnls.

This is the 17th time v r wasting our whole 3 nights fr the so called Ssnls ,i mean Mit’s Ssnls..As our marks are evaluated as best 2 out of 3.. , it always continues to b the same old story as first were always fucked up and nw lukin fr 2nd ..as again pledged to study atleast 10 days before the next one bt still wondering hw to start the syllabus..

HW will i start , still not having the notes so have to knock the hostel doors and will have sum bakchodi instead of studying and bringin notes bak to the room .May b wil start the course late nite and hopefully will b able to leave 75% of the course..lets c afterwards. Tom i have compiler constructors and software engineering exmz..also i have to knock galz block fr the Se project .. as they r in my group, rather myself in theirs
